Emily Jay is a multi-faceted makeup artist based in New Jersey/New York, specializing in beauty and fashion. From an early age she was always fascinated by the power of makeup. The transformations from simple to extravagant with some brushes and raw talent intrigued her. Dabbling in makeup as a young girl was only the beginning for her as she went on to explore the world of makeup. Emily attended beauty school in her home town for 2 years, where she competed in many Skills USA competitions for fantasy makeup and hair. She took first place in a few before completing the program and passing her boards.

 

After acquiring her Cosmetology license, she went on to further her education at MUD (Make-up Deisgnory) in Manhattan, NY, completing the Multi-Media program. It was during this intensive training that she designed makeup for a series of beauty and fashion photoshoots and designed a range of characters. She has worked with the top modeling agencies and photographers in NYC. Emily looks forward to evolving and refining her art as she continues to seek out opportunities to bring life to her ideas and inspire others in the same way she was inspired as a child.
